This day has been about resting, recharging, and relaxing. It started with a 20 mile bike ride along the most beautiful trail called the Blackstone River Bikeway. It does not sound too relaxing, but the weather was perfect and the trail was really nice. We saw turtles and Blue Heron and pretty views of the Blackstone River. I really needed that change of scenery. I have a nagging discomfort related to missing Chip and having the kids off at school that I cannot seem to shake. But, enjoying new surroundings helps me to get what I know: I don’t have to be in charge of everyone’s well being and schedules now. Accepting this new reality will take time. We had a great day and capped it off with a delicious dinner by the ocean and then watching the sun set from the sandy beach. Peace is coming. Slowly but surely.
